Meeting Notes
---------------------
1) Meeting began with a visit from the U of I Floating Illini.  They gave 
   a PowerPoint and video presentation and took questions.

2) Announcements:
   a) Members only viewing of the Leonid Meteor Shower on the 17th.
   b) The 24th is scheduled for the Family Skywatch
   c) December club meeting will be more of a social event.  Bring food and/or 
      family.
   d) Good time to renew dues!!

3) Viewed Wayne's aurora slides

4) There are a few calendars and shirts left.  Contact Dave Leake to see 
   about obtaining one.

5) John Dobson will be visiting in the spring of 2002.  A co-venture with 
   the U of I was suggested and the U of I would float the bill.  Need to 
   decide how long he will stay for and what he will talk about.  Also,
   John will need a place to stay.  Volunteers?

6) Mike said that we were going to install hooks in the dome so that the 
   shutter panel handles could be placed on them.  This would prevent the 
   handles from riding on the rotation track and jumping the chain.

7) Officer Voting results:

8) Someone needs to volunteer to help with the light pollution monitoring 
   project.  The club member that built the device needs assistance for a 
   possible all night data collection campaign.  It would involve driving all 
   around Champaign County this weekend (if clear) and taking measurements.
