Minutes of the September 2002 Meeting of the CUAS.
September 12, 2002

The Meeting was called to order at 7:05 P.M. by President Jeff Bryant.
There were 18 members present.

President Bryant reviewed the upcoming events.

Family Skywatch is scheduled for Saturday, September 14.

The Parkland Planetarium is running a new show. Stargazer is showing Friday
and Saturday nights at 8 P.M.

Dave Leake will contact Millikin University and find out when we may be able
to visit their new observatory.

An observing session is scheduled for September 28 at 7 P.M. at Allerton
Park. We may all meet in Champaign and caravan out to the Park. Watch the
listserv for further details.

The Club CD project was discussed. There are many ideas of what may be
included on the CD, and everyone is urged to submit material. The
Observatory Manual will be included, possibly a history of the Club, Bios of
Club members, screen savers, astrophotos that members have taken. For
further information - contact one of the Club officers.

Mike Conron gave a very informative presentation of various software
packages that we might use to generate various items for the Club CD.

The Meeting was adjourned about 8:30 P.M.
