Minutes of the October 2002 Meeting of the CUAS.
October 10, 2002

The Meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. by President Jeff Bryant.
There were 19 members present.

President Bryant reviewed upcoming events.

The next Family Skywatch is scheduled for Oct. 12.

The viewing session at Allerton Park was quite a success. The Club made $125
from this event. We are scheduled to do it again Nov. 2.

Treasurer Leake asked what everyone thought about possibly moving the Club
checking account. He got the go ahead to move it.

Dave Leake is stepping down as Editor of Clear Skies. Do we have a volunteer
to take over as the new Editor? If you are interested - please contact one
of the officers.

We are still accepting member submissions for the Club CD project. If you
have items of interest - contact one of the Club Officers for details.

There was a general discussion regarding improving the drive on the
Observatory scope. Bob Rubendunst gave a report on his tests, and indicated
that he has another idea or two to try as time permits. Bob has spent quite
a bit of his time on this - and we thank him for his efforts.

We then watched a new DVD produced by Boeing - "Countdown to the Cosmos".

The Meeting adjourned about 8:30 P.M. and there was a general 'chat
session' by many of the members.
