Minutes of the April 2003 Meeting of the CUAS.
April 10, 2003

The Meeting was called to order by President Jeff Bryant. There were 22
members and visitors present.

Announcements:

a). The May 3rd New Moon Observing session will be held at Allerton Park.

b). The next Family Skywatch will be on May 10th.

c). We are planning a public viewing session in town on May 15th for the
lunar eclipse. The location is still under discussion.

d). The May 31st New Moon Observing session is also scheduled for Allerton
Park.

In June we have the Taste of Champaign-Urbana coming up. What do we want to
do regarding T-shirts?

Mike Conron gave an update on his work on the diagonal for the 30" telescope
that he is working on.

It is hoped that the Club 16" scope will be completed this summer.

Bob Nonnemann displayed some of his work on the truss mount for his 30"
scope.

A very interesting program was presented by Dr. Chu from the U of I on her
work in XRAY astronomy.

The Meeting was adjourned about 8:30 P.M.
