Minutes of the October 2003 Meeting of the CUAS.
October 9, 2003

The Meeting was called to order by President Jeff Bryant at 7:00 P.M.
There were 23 members and visitors present.

Announcements and upcoming events:

a). A few members attended the Walnut Point observing session. The weather
was not the best, but they had a good time.

b). The next Allerton Park Observing is scheduled for October 19. Note that
this is a Sunday evening.

c). On October 28, Channel 12's 'Nova' will present "Elegant Universe". The
program starts at 8 P.M.

d). October 25 - Members New Moon Observing at the CUAS Observatory weather
permitting.

e). Jeff Bryant will be giving a talk at an upcoming Rotary Club meeting.

f). Jeff Bryant and Wayne James will appear in an upcoming 'Surrounded by
Science' program on PCTV.

g). The Club is in the beginning stages of planning to co-sponser a Star
Party next Spring. The site may be the County Park near Penfield.

h). The next Family Skywatch is scheduled for November 1.

Officer Nominations:

The Club will elect Officers for 2004 at the November meeting. The following
were nominated on Oct. 9. Nominations are still open, and an absentee ballot
will be included in the next 'Clear Skies'.
