From Champaign, IL, take Interstate 57 south of town to the Monticello/Tolono exit. Turn right [west] and travel 1.4 miles to County Road 700East. Turn left [south] and go 0.8 miles. The observatory is a white dome on the left [east] side of the road.

The observatory has no phone, heat, electric, or restrooms. You may want to bring blankets, a jacket and bug spray. It tends to get cool outside even in the summer. For winter observing, be sure to dress in layers. Wool is a good fabric since it is water repellant. See you there...
